In the era before Digital: Print on Demand, the biggest pain point for both producers and customers when ordering books or other printed materials was undoubtedly the "minimum order quantity." Since traditional offset printing requires plates to produce physical books, a print volume that is too low significantly inflates all costs—both fixed costs (the printing plates) and variable costs (the number of pages). Because of this, ordering a single copy of a 1,000-page book was simply impossible in the real world.

However, thanks to the Digital: Print on Demand technology at Rewat Printing—which we introduced 17 years ago—the "impossibility" of the past has become a "possibility" in today's world.

A foreign client approached us to print a comprehensive aircraft systems manual. Budget was not an issue, but they had one strict condition: the final product had to look exceptionally beautiful. Rewat Printing’s Digital: Print on Demand service, utilizing an All-Color (four-color) system on a high-quality Fujifilm digital printer, was tasked with this mission.

The manual is a massive 1,028 pages thick, printed double-sided on A4 paper. Once the original PDF file was imported into the RIP software to convert the data into processing commands for the digital printer, the mission officially began.

Page after page was printed from the Fujifilm machine. The beauty and accuracy of the colors were the client's absolute top priorities.
